Borstad Associates now offers hyperspectral exploration
for minerals, acid mine drainage, and mine
reclamation.
We provide customized image analysis of satellite imagery from ASTER
and HYPERION, as well as aerial
surveys with our CASI (Compact Airborne Spectrographic
Imager) anywhere in the world. Tell us where you want to go today!
Hyperspectral Mineral Exploration
Since the 1990s more and more companies are using hyperspectral remote sensing as part of their mineral exploration programs. Our own tests in Nevada, conducted with Placer Dome, Spectral International and others, showed clearly that maps of clay minerals made from our SFSI imagery greatly increased the success of finding surface gold

Multispectral Mapping of Reclaimed Mining Areas
Monitoring of re-vegetated areas using aerial multispectral remote sensing imagery expands and improves the efficiency of the reclamation programs. We work closely with the ground ecologists to produce thematic maps of the vegetation and ground cover, as well as time series of vegetation indices

Monitoring Mine Reclamation from the Air Repeated annual surveys produce an image time series that shows a very detailed picture of the trends in vegetative growth across the entire mine site. |
